Right now I have regular batts in my tx and im tired of buying new batteries for it. Is there a way I can put a rechargable ni-cd or sumthin in it? I opened up my radio and i see that the wires leading from the battery case is soldered , so would it be possible to put a ni-cd in w/o making it into whole big solder mess (btw i am HORRIBLE with my soldering iron).

what type of radio would help, I run NiCd and NiMh in both my radios, an XS3 and a Lynx 3D (I love having all the channels lol).

Just go out and buy you some rechargeable batteries and put them in the radio the way it is.
You dont need a pack.

You can then build yourself a tray for charging and such.

OR

Cut the wires and solder in a connector and use the tray for charging etc.
With the right connector you then could go to a battery pack if you really wanted to.
