Status: offline 		everytime i try to load this Add-on - it crashes, as well as disables AFPD all together....why? I have tried installing this Add-on first, second, last form all the others - why wont this Add-on load correctly?

Status: offline 		Hi, what is the exact error message you're getting? Are you using a DVD drive?

1) Tell me exactly what kind of hardware you have, especially 3D graphics card, CPU, and any other hardware installed, sound card etc.
2) What is the RAM size?
3) Which operating system are you using, XP or Vista? 32 bit or 64 bit?
4) Tell me exactly what drivers you installed for the 3D graphics card.
5) Which addons do you have?
6) What is the version number printed on your main AFPD disk?
7) How did you install the main disk, addons, and patch (which version?), and what was the sequence of installation?
8) Pls post your tm.log file which you can find in the following directory

C:\Program Files\IPACS\AeroFly Professional Deluxe

You may open the file with a text editor like word or notepad. Just copy and paste the entire content into your post.

Status: offline 		1) Tell me exactly what kind of hardware you have, especially 3D graphics card, CPU, and any other hardware installed, sound card etc. Factory Installed sound card (not very good one, basic), Dell Insprion 1737, Intel Core Duo CPU P8400 @2.26GHz, Vista service pack 1ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series (something along those lines)
2) What is the RAM size? 4.0 GB
3) Which operating system are you using, XP or Vista? 32 bit or 64 bit? 32 bit Vista
4) Tell me exactly what drivers you installed for the 3D graphics card.
5) Which addons do you have? 3 and 4 (5 cannot add)
6) What is the version number printed on your main AFPD disk? 1.8.0.9
7) How did you install the main disk, addons, and patch (which version?), and what was the sequence of installation? Inserted the main disc and followed instructions, then proceded with the Add On discs
8) Pls post your tm.log file which you can find in the following directory
afpd-a033.tml - 10-16-2007 - TML file 1KB
afpd-a034.tml - 11-7-2007 - TM file 1KB
afprod.tmd - 11-5-2004 - TMD file 3KB

I currently have Version 1.11.7.7 installed - I try to update the version to 1.11.07.21 - but fails to load and gives me a series of error messages....I do have those saved in power point, I can e-mail those if you like? I noticed on the Add On 5 that the version number on that disc is 1.11.07.19 which is not available on the AFPD site.....

You need to post the entire content in the tm.log file. I also need the exact error message you're getting when trying to install addon5

Status: offline 		i will get those items for you tonight....i just hate to try and install #5 and it crashes my AFPD again....then I have to uninstall and reinstall everything.....

could this be because I dont have the latest version of AFPD, as listed above...because the latest version is on Add On 5? But like I mentioned before - I cant even get the latest version installed.

I'll report back tonight - Thanks!!

Status: offline 		I would suggest you do a complete uninstall and reinstallation. The uninstallation procedure is given at the bottom of this page http://www.aerofly.com/downloads.html The installation sequence should always be main disks...addons (in number order).....patch.

Status: offline 		Mike - I did exactly as you instructed and still - it does not work...everything loaded just fine....including add-on 5....but when i went to Aerofly website to get the latest patch....it crashed.....please PM me your e-mail and I will forward you the series of error messages I had captured in powerpoint.....i cant even open Aerofly on my computer to fly the sim....this is very frustrating.....

Status: offline 		I have just uninstalled everything again.....this time I will not go and get any patches, I will attempt to open Aerofly on the computer to fly the sim.....lets see what happens....

Status: offline 		ok - everything has successfully installed - however, I cannot install any patches, im still on version 1.8. whatever and get the same series of error messages.

Status: offline 		Perhaps you installed the wrong patch. The link for the latest patch is http://www.ipacs.de/download/afpd1110721.exe If you have used the wrong patch, you would have to uninstall and reinstall again

How to find the tm.log file.

Go to:

My Computer
Local Disc C
Program Files
IPACS
Aerofly Professional Deluxe
tm.log File (copy this one and post it here)

You may open the file with a text editor like word or notepad. Just copy and paste the entire content into your post. You could see other threads in this forum on what the contents of the tm.log file looks like

Status: offline 		okay - i just deleted everything again.....completely uninstalled.

just loaded the primary disc....go to TM files.....nothing is in there...its says 0KB.....what should I be seeing? if anything?

Status: offline 		okay - i had loaded add-on 3.....went on aerofly pro to update the patch.....i got the same errors (i e-mailed you)....butnot as many..maybe only the first three.....now i have version 1.11.7.7

Status: offline 		#4 allowed me to fly the sim no problem.....version 1.11.7.7....cannot update to higher patch......insatlled add-on #5 just fine.....turn on the sim.....wont launch......go to TM log file - nothing is inside.....0KB.....

dont know what else to say or do....there is no other patch to install on the AFPD site....there is nothing else i can do as far as installing the discs.....

any ideas.....

Status: offline 		It looks like you installed the main disk, addons and patch into the default directory in c:\program files in vista where you have no write access. For your older main disk version 1.8.x.x you have to install (main disk, addons and patch) into a different folder where you have write access. Pls download and follow the procedure here http://www.aerofly.com/ipacs_vista.pdf
