I've never owned an OS, but why do you hate those two?

Hobbsy, There is an entire thread on the issues alot of people have with this engine. Mostly air leaks, hot runs. OS is usually a great product. This specific engine is up for graps, therefore the poll.

Nothing but trouble with mine, leans out in flight, air leaks, tank position seems to be SUPER critical with this engine. Yes I know its critical with all engines but this one seems more sensitive than any other

    Put me down for 50/50.

Seems to run great on the ground.

I've only flown it on a plane twice, and I've had 1 dead stick.

    Sounds like 50/50 to me.

I hate 'em. I've worked ona friends so many time at the field it's not funny. Same as the above post...it runs like a top on the ground and then has a mind of it's own in the air. I suspect an airleak, but can't find the damned thing. I suggested a new needle assemble to the guy, and that didn't fix it, new gaskets didn't fix it, a piece of fuel line over the base of the needle didn't fix it. It's got good power it just won't stay in tune like it's sucking air somewhere. I think they oughta recall them, but as long as the thing has been out and as many of them that run like this, it doesn't look like that'll ever happen. That ain't a slam, they just need to make things things right. My freind is already out the money the engine cost, and now he's out the money it cost for the parts too. It's probably a dang case leak somewhere, but like I said, I'll be damned if I can find it.

    Love mine

(now that I have sorted all the problems.)

Never head it quit on me other than run out of fuel (over two years flying)

Just a shame those problems have given it a bad rep.
