this is probably the best place to post such a thing. but Sedel is producing there radials again !!!!

the ST-710-GL is 70cc's glow. and a diameter of 9 1/8 inches, it has 4 hp and the weight is 5.7 lbs and throws up to a 24/10 prop for $2100 bucks shipping to the U.S. is $80.00 bucks

the ST-160-B is 160 cc's and diameter of 10.23 inches with about 10 ph and weight of 9.45 lbs and throws up to a whopping 28/14

no price yet. but this one runs on gas. With the price of the one on top, i bet it will be reasonable to Moki But you get 2 more cylinders

So this is all FYI for us warbird junkies. One more thing to wish upon.. the pic below im pretty sure is what she will look like.. their wb site doesnt have that particular engine posted

http://translate.google.com/translat...NGSMOTOREN.HTM

oh yeah i forgot to say.. the 70 ccer will most cirtanly fit in the robart p-47........ and for sure the cmp zero

Definitely a work of art. Glad that the 160 and the 14 cylinder engines are petrol powered. Never had much luck keeping all the cylinders on a 3 cylinder glow-powered radial consistently hot for an entire flight.

I'd love to stick that 14 cylinder in a nice big Fw 190.

Alas, no RC motor is worth that much money.

theres a video on you tube of a 1/4 scale DC-3 i think with 2 of these. flying.. sounded wicked i'd like to see one in the comp arf corrsair it would fit. you could make F4U-5 with a solo scale 4 blade prop.OMG[sm=teeth_smile.gif]

regaurdless we need to get some of these engines in the states so we can get a better look with some video and stuff. i know its on my for sure wish list

70cc ? that's 4.27ci.

GLOW ENGINE???

Let's say the fuel consumption is about 40oz per flight (12 to 15min) and you make 3 flights a day that is one gallon. Besides the cost of glow fuel, it will go higher this year again, you have the oil of one gallon glow fuel all over your airplane.....

Thanks for the heads-up. What a rush!

That would take one heckuva Fw to hold the 14-cyl....1/3 scale? But I certainly wouldn't have the hassle of cylinder-baffling like with my RCS.

Like you said, costs nothing to dream.

Here's the youtube link to one of them being bench run last January.

If I ever bench run one of these, it's gonna be with some deep-set posts, not with my foot on the back of the bench!

i not sure 77chickenhawk
I think that figure we can come very well from two radial 5cyl ... although I admit that seeing a B-17 or B-24 with these engines is one thing ... but to think that for every engine we can spend more than the $ 5000 I believe that if I had all this money not used for that purpose ...
My other concern and the fact that these engines weigh too ... and to balance the plane to balance them against what you have that in a regular airplane balsa means the breaking of the structure
but i can all ways mistake.

Dang it all! It looks like that seven cyl would work very well in a 30% Jungmeister! And the price is not far off from the Saito 325 either. This is very nice indeed.

It is an American expression politely made. The real wording I will not post here. I meant I am happy about the motor being available but sad because I want one and don't have the money or space or time to build something to put it in. I am using a 5 cyl Saito 325 in a current Jungmeister build. Nice but not as nice as this since the real one has seven cyl.

Texan,

If you are a scale freak like I am then the closer you can come to the 18 cylinder engine the better. Even the 7 cylinder looks to be better than the Moki. Thats just my opinion but to each and his own. I think the look of the 14 cylinder would be an eye-opener for judges in competition for sure. Any points you can get are important right? Plus you would have to bend down and count them to be sure there weren't 18. Plus 3W is supposed to be coming out with a radial that has an oil sump for inverted flight for those times you need oil in the cylinders during roles, wingovers, and loops.

ok i agreed for half NICIS you haves an F-4 u 1/4scale... but if you use then for the first you must balance against the model ok?..... yes i sure if you going an contest to win hands low because 'a 14 or a 18 cyl are not so common to be able to judge what is the best ... and certainly a 18cyl compared to a 7 and how to compare a 5cyl petrol engine with a nitro to ...(i like to much the radial engine but when this is not so much cip).......... then obvious that this is my thought, and that others have their ...

Texan,

I don't really understand what your saying because of our communication difficulty but you can feel any way you want. I was just speaking for myself and not meaning to run your thoughts down by what I said.

NCIS has my point though its not really good or bad. If I can put a motor that has the same number of cylinders that the real plane has then so much the better in my opinion. I like what I have currently but for me if I was starting again and had the cash to burn I would look very closely at this 770. It may be a bit big but its very nice and could make some real music to my ears. I don't compete with anyone but myself. Seems like I could always do better []

Either way its great to have another choice!!!
