I just got this plane!
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLCP1&P=ML

I'm new to the electrics world, I do have a Mini ultra stick (e-flight) and a DX7.

The question is what motor and ESC should I buy to replace the stock brushed one! I also don't want to be under powered and I would like to use the same lipos that I already have if possible (3s - 2200) . I like to buy my electronics from hobby king.
Thanks for the help

Feel free to send me pics if you have one with mods etc.... Or anything that I should do to this plane

Hey riburgos:

I repowered my Lancair with an Ammo 24-45-2900 inrunner with a GPMG0505 gear drive set at 3.1 to1 ratio. This is a fairlly easy conversion as it is mounted in the same manner as the stock setup. It only involves enlarging the center hole and redrilling the mounting holes in the firewall. This setup produced 230watts WOT at 19amps with an APC 9x6e prop. I used a 30amp esc. Something else you may want to do is replace the landing gear. The stock setup looks nice but is way to flimsey for this model. I hand fabricated the main gear out of aluminum and rebent the nose gear from a PZ t28. I used a 3s 1800mah lipo but your 2200mah lipo should work as well. Oemflyer
