Status: offline 		Hello i just got the balancer and the lipos. I have two 3s lipos and im not sure what i am doing. I hooked them up to the balancer and i belive it is auto balancing the cells atm. The quick balance mode is flashing and Cell 2 is constantly light. However when i need to charge these i would like to know what the heck i need to do. Can someone help a dumb fellow rc dude out?

Status: offline 		Ok i think i may have figured part of it out. Now the charger has finished charging but the balancer still keeps flashing all crazy like it was doing while charging. Should i just leave it in that state or is it finished? Anyone know?

Both modes are described in manual. Which mode are you using?

Status: offline 		Interface mode.  I followed the manuals i just wanna know if im doing it right.  After the charger finishes the balancer just keeps flashing,  does that mean its not done balancing?

Status: offline 		Interface mode never shuts off until disconnected. The cell leds will flash until all are balanced and may take much longer than the charger took to full charge the pack.

Status: offline 		So should i leave it alone when it gets done charging?  Until the blancer finishes?  If thats the case i have already removed the batteries.  Should i put them back on and put it in auto balance mode?

Status: offline 		Yes, it should be left alone until done. Re-installing in quick balance mode would work fine. At least that mode turns off and is easy to see or check later on when done.

Status: offline 		Ok, just one other thing about lipo in general.  Do i have to discharge everytime i run the lipo or is it just when they get run down?

Also when charging/discharging the lipo the 977 say err1 most of the time when it finishes.  Not sure why, any explanation for that?  I am setting the amps to 2 amp and the cells to 3 then hit charge and the charger then says lipo on it.  but when it finishes it says err1.

The lipos never have to be discharged and can be damaged if they are. They can simply be topped off before use (even if they are partial charged already)

I can't say that I've seen that error ever. You're starting it correctly because it says lipo on screen. Does it actually charge the battery ok and/or can you try it without the balancer and see if it still says err1 ?

Status: offline 		Ok, so i thought that you had to discharge Lipos before you charge them.  From what you are saying you do not.  Thats great!  Saves me like 30 minutes of waiting for batteries.

It seems to charge the battery just fine, i think it may be the balancer cutting it off.  This balancer says it has alot of fail safes, maybe thats one of them.  I can try it tonight with the charger only.  Maybe the problem is that i am discharging the batteries....  BTW thanks alot for your help.
