Digitech you are wrong with the numbers here:
They charged 27.5$ for 2.5 gal. of fuel, and 30$ for a pint of oil, which are regular prices in Israel , same as we all pay.

As for the rest of the austrian claims, I rather not comment here since some serious issues were brought up, and are being checked with the organizers in these hours. I do believe that all will be resolved .

Zivo

i am not wrong with the numbers here

25 euro is about 40 usd.

as for what i wrote : i did not write anything, i quoted that website.
but you forgot also to mention that a few also got free water inside their fuel canisters ....
there was also a bit more on that austrian website , that was a bit racist and i was better of not mentioning it here...
or better translated that ;-)

Again - you are wrong.
27.5 $ as in United States Dollars USD and not euros... that is 19.46 euros. lets stick with the facts here.

Water in cans - indeed happened, in 2-3 cans and not in all. that was a mishap and adressed immediately. competitors who had turbine problems got a second chance to start and fly once the issue was resolved.

As for the racist remakrs - that issue is being handled as a disciplinary issue and is in the hands of Winnie to decide how to comment. I trust his judgement but this should never happen. not here. not now.

i am not question you as for what the real prices are,i have no idea i am not there
i am just translating what was said there...
since it seems not much news is getting out from there.

To say that no news is getting out from the JWM is an understatement. The competition is nearly over and we have not seen one decent photograph or video on this thread. The official website is still showing 51 pilots entered. Is that wishfull thinking?

it is quite boring yes...

from the 25 pilots 5 are in the 13kg class
that leaves 20 pilots with 11 hawks...
so if some hawk loses a antenna it could mean 3 place.
i am looking forward on the USA organising it , i am sure we will not be hungry like in Ireland.
and if you want i can be of help to anyone i will .....

Hey Sandor

First of all let me clear my self....
I'm not in the organization team and, I don't have any relation to it beside that my friend-partner is competing over there,
and I had to stay at home for working, but... I'm very proud that this contest is held here in Israel.

Sandor, I don't want to get into a war here in the internet , but there is something that bother me with what
you are saying here, and the cynical and the sarcasm you are saying that...
It seems like you become the biggest categoric about the event.
I'm sorry that I'm saying that, but seems to me that you are searching all the time what is wrong, what are the dark thing...
why you are not saying anything about the good thing, for instance why you are not saying that all the people were guest
in our air force big show, or maybe the tour to Jerusalem. these were only for an example that came to my mind right now.

Sandor, as I recall you didn't speak like this 2 years ago http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6469415/anchors_6489403/mpage_2/key_/anchor/tm.htm#6489403
your tension was to come here maybe to participate or to display your goods, I don't know...
I can't understand what is the things that pushed some hidden bottons of you, or what you had been so offended, and especially that you were here in Israel.
I'm sorry it became to that, but I realy don't get it.
I do understand all the guys that didn't come for them reasons ( rule changed, economical situation) , but Sandor, what about you?

Sandor, I don't need an answer, and my tension is not to open any war over here, just to say to you to shut the flames...
and if you will have the need to do that, do it after, so Avi Ambar, the orgenizer could answer to all your complains.

Avi Dekallo

All my congratulations to Glenn Roberts for scoring second with a brand new plane.
The Vampire will certainly become the plane to beat in two years from now. A nice bowl of fresh air anyway...

Are they the offical scores? What is going on with the GB nations trophy score (not that it makes any difference)? Where did the second pilot score come from?

Well done Paul Dunkley; Good effort.

EDIT: The same is happening to other countries. How is this score worked out?

Terrible coverage. The event must have been as boring as this thread.

So Sad

A lot of pics fromt he event and the airshow after it could be seen in this (Israeli) forum:
http://www.tapuz.co.il/forums/main/forumpage.asp?forum=358

As a pilot in the airshow both in the opening ceremony and in the big airshow after the competition, i got to meet some great pilots with ever happy faces.

Thank you so much for the expirience (to anyone involved) - it has been a personal pleasure and privelage to meet these guys in person and fly with them.

My personal favorite plane (and pilot) was Paul Buckley from the UK with his scratch built T-45 - simply amazing work and Paul is so modest and nice, a great guy indeed !

Also thank to my friends Ralph Losemann and Enrico Thater for the combined flight with the Israeli flag and the J10 vector jets.
Here is a pic after the flight today.

Great flying my friend - Wish you had some videos from today, I've heard you woke up some ants this morning

My congrats to Stephan Völker for taking the 1st place and for an amazing exhibition flight on Friday - It WAS our honor and privilege to welcome all of you in Israel!
As been said the Vampire DH115 is a great jet and Glenn Roberts do know to get the best out of it!

Here are a few pics of mine from the event...

Cheers,

I see that the nations scores have now been corrected. Looks like there was a mistake with the scoring again; I would have thought they would have learnt by now.
