Is there such thing as off-road drag racing? I like off-road more than on-road and I am a fan of real drag-racing so why not combine them?

Sorry, but whatever you may think.... Your S-Maxx ain't even close to the acceleration of a 4-tec.. lol same engine with 3-4 extra lbs and the same acceleration..........

And even if you did ever manage in some crazy world to have the same rate of acceleration, you'd be killed on the top end since the tech has at least 20mph on you on top speed- and you'd better count on it that it will top out on a 132' track...

dude you are totally I have a buddy with an s-maxx 3.3. and I have a big block tmaxx and a nitro 4-tech, and I can blister the revo, smaxx and a stock tamxx, and any savage this picco big blokc will kill all but the 4-tech. We have put the wheelie bar down  all the way on the Tmaxx, and raced the 4-tech and big block Tmaxx. The 2 times I was able to controll the maxx big block I pulled ahead to 55-60mph in the Tmaxx, it had a jato pinoion gear on it, 23 teeth instead of 17-19, to give it more top end. But the t,axx, when it hooked up would beat the 4-tech to 55-60mph and then the 4-tech would slowly go by, my truck was clocked by a cop at 63 before I hit the brakes. I would put my Tmaxx up against any smaxx any day.

Nothing organized that I'm aware of.  That's where I started.  Cut over an old-school brushed electric Rustler with a White aluminum pan chassis.  Ran 1/10 scale 1/8mile.  66ft dirt course.  No timing system.  No nothing.  Just went out and did it.  Still one of my best times ever in RC.  Got some pics somewhere.  I'll try to find 'em.
