These should work quite well on diesels and diesel conversions say up to .10 or so many of the brushless electric motors are in the 650 to 2400Kv ranges and the blade shape is very effcient the brushless motors have plenty of torque in the 6000 to 8000 rpm range the diesel also has lots in this range too unlike glow where you need to be over 8000 in many cases. for just sport flying the diesel will produce the torque needed in this rpm rangewill pick up a 10x5 XOAR and an 11 inch too for my OS and TT10 Davis conversions ans see how it works out, Bob davis suggested giving this a tryThey will be pretty quiet and fuel consumption should even be better martin

Gkamsz and Devious Dave pioneered the small electric pylon props on small diesels.

Following their lead, I am flying the Caudron MPjet .061 BB diesel currently on a 4.75x 6.25 (cut down APE elecky 5.25x6.25)

Just keep your eyes open for the white marks which seem to develop on the apc props

Martin, I have used Graupner carbon fiber Cam props with fixed pitch for electric motors on my diesels up to 2.5 cc engines.  Stronger than most electric props and have given better performance in my models than IC props the same size.  A bit pricey.  Check out Hobby Lobby cataloge or web site for these props.  Others in SAM old time Texaco events have used electric props with diesels at lower RPMs for endurance.  Jack

Make that PROTECTED EYES open!

Remember that electric motors impose a steady load compared to IC which has an explosion followed by a free spin until the next explosion. Entirely different design for entirely different loads.

That said, be careful and good luck.

RocketBob interesting at the lower rpms should not be an issue some props ( do not know the brand are marked electric only)
I have tried the 12x5 and 12x6 wood XOAR on a couple of my larger ones I think the ST34 turned close to 10 to10,5K on the stand a lot ofwind
it is going in my KMP beaver conversion maybe a 13x4 wortha try too  marin

George thx for the comment the XOAR wood does have a " cut down thinner hub" I wear a full face shield and stand behind after starting just in case it chucks a blade I do not think this would be an issue at lower rpms but playing it safe  martin

I also sacrifcied one by having one on the engine on the stand and grabbed both blades and pulled till it broke it took a lot of pressure before it did
I think this would \be more of an issue with a stress factor with a plastic prop
