Status: offline 		Just crashed a 60 size P38 due to engine failure.

Club members are recommending electrics for the rebuild.

"Is it possible to power a 60 size twin with electricts?"

If it is, where do I start looking for equipment that will carry / power a plane of this size.

Status: offline 		I would strongly recommend AGAINST trying to "Electifiy" a wet power airplane that needs to be rebuilt. Starting from "scratch" , well that's a different story all together. Due to the "inefficiency" of getting power from even Todays Batteries, every extra ounce of excess weight means that you will need to draw more power from the batteries just to fly. Short of an unbalanced Prop electrics really do not have any Vibration so you do not need to build really strong airframes. Could you build a E-Power P-38 ?, sure but , I don't think you would save any $$ . The size of Electric Motors w/ gearboxes you would need to power this Plane are not going to be cheap, nor will the 24-27 cell battery pack, or say 100 amp speed control/s.
If you look at some of the larger Electric Aerobatic ARF's being sold today you will see that the Airframes are quite a bit lighter than their wet-power counterparts.
