Status: offline 		I want to build my own engine headers, do any of you know a good source for 5/8 tubing. I have tried lowes and Home Depot, I looked in many departments hoping for somthing. I have heard that telescopic paint roller extensions will work but these were all too large.

Status: offline 		Dave is right; McMaster Carr is the best all around place. You can get smaller pieces without a minimum. Most of the stuff at the home improvement places is pretty poor quality.
The tough part of the headers is making the flange and some of the thinner tubing takes a quality bender to get good results. .035 tubing works but the .049 is a little easer to bend and tig weld.
If you need any tips give me a shout. Ive tried a lot of stuff and I may be able to save you a few headaces.

in hobby shops they should have a web site
