Bax,

My 2 year old engine was running slow, so my expert friend and I took the engine apart and found that the rear bearings were shot.  We also noticed that the rear bearings were sealed in front and back with a rubber gasket.   The front bearings were only sealed on one side.  Why do they have this design and how does oil lubricate these rear bearings?   I ordered new front and rear bearings and we plan on not putting the rubber gasket back in with the new bearings.  Please help me understand the design of the OS 120 III pumped engine.  Thanks for your time and consideration.

Status: offline 		O.S. packs the bearings with grease.  Don't remove the covers, just install them as they come.
