My eyecam is installed on a caliber 30 (helicopter) Left skid looking forward.

my first test flight with the camera was today, i was by myself so just pressed record and flew the model without concentrating on the camera at all. After the flight i reviewed my recorded video and found that a ripple effect appears over the whole screen.

the image is very clear, there is little static type interference or hash, but the ripple is painfully obvious.

It appears to become more stable when collective is reduced . It also, totally dissapears and the view is normal when doing hovering autos.

I have a governor and operate the chopper in the governed mode, during autos, the governor is automatically switched off which made me think that the governor is somehow interfering.

has anyone experienced this before?

should the camera be bonded (the 9v battery neg lead to the engine)?

will the piston moving up/down induce an EMI to the camera or the transmitted signal? If so, how do i rectify?

Im quite sure that its not a helicopter vibration issue, but will do further testing later today, including flying with the governor switched off.

any experience with these issueas would be appreciated.

I'm sure that you will find that it is a viberation issue! A little more padding is in order!
