I think a .40 will be great as long as it isn't an LA. The LA lacks so much horsepower. The .25 to me just doesn't cut it in the fun factor. You will be happy with the .25 for maybe a day and then realize that a .40 will be much more fun. The .25 will struggle on pulling out of a hover. Up to you though.

Here is my rebuilt SPA3D v.2 after a lawn dart landing last week.

Replaced the OS .40 LA with this monster. OS .61 MAX w/ 7D Carb ( Thanks to a flying buddy of mine that gave it to me newly rebuilt. What a guy! ) This thing hovers extremely well at just under 1/2 throttle. The plane is a bit heavy so I had to add weight to the rear. The plane is probably weighing in around 6~7 LBS.

Same dimensions as Tatoo's plans state. Only changes are the dual aileron servos and a bigger engine to boot =). I will try to get some video this weekend if the rain doesn't show it's ugly face. From my last oops last weekend, I had to rebuild all the coro. I must have hit the deck nose down doing 50 or so. Never take your eyes off the plane for a second.

This plane does it all folks. Tatoo has designed a winner. This thing does Knife Edges, Torque Rolls, Hover, Harrier, just about anything you can throw at it. My project plane has not been touched since building these nor has my other plane. Thanks Tatoo.

I am also feeling the project plane problems. Tattoo you've done a great job. My Uncle stopped by and showed me some video of some flying he saw on the road. It just turned out it was you and the boys in Kansas. I couldn't believe it. I'm the only one in the family that like rc planes so he stopped to video it for me. Small world.

keep up the great work.

If you met him you would remember. Long gray haired American Indian. He travels all over as a stand up comic. Has an awesome life.

Are those standard servos you are using on the wing? How are they mounted?

Also. I am trying to find a free download for the creepy font with no luck. Can you tell me where you found it? Thanks.

They are standard servos and have a plastic mount that I made under them. The font was gotten from the internet somwhere, just search for free fonts.

Thank for the video Craig!!!! I remember it well and Sassy remembers talking to your uncle while I was flying! No real great flying, but a little slice of Spad history there for sure! It was in Febuary, very cold, very windy, and I was doing well just to keep the plane in the air...but what your uncle caught on tape was the QHOR maiden voyage! How cool!
