Has anyone seen or heard of these? It's probably a pretty hot engine. Too bad there is no way to install a muffler.

Nice looking engine, looks like a scaled down version of the 2.5cc Fora "Pioneer" which isn't really a racing engine as such. More a good strong sports diesel about as powerful as a standard Oliver Tiger.

The 1.5 cc Fora is probably aimed at European 1/2A C/l Combat.

Why would you want to fit a muffler to a 1.5cc diesel?

Status: offline 		Most clubs in the US require mufflers, the one I belong to included. My MVVS 1.5D and Norvel .074 diesel sound nice with mufflers.

Status: offline 		I can see the exhaustport are in rear crankcase..
You can use steel strip that has holes where pipe are silversoldered and connected to the silencer. Fasten as a hose clamp around the crankcase. You understand?

The nice Fora engine are made in Kharkov (east for Kiev) in Ukraine.

I wish the USA had taken advantage of the .09 size engine and had a class designed for it.

Almost every modeler I ever knew had one or more .09 engines that they thouroughly enjoyed.

I go back to Arden, Atom, OK Cub, McCoy and a couple of hundred more.  The .09 is a fun size.

It looks like it has an integral AAC liner similar to the Fora 2.5cc "Pioneer". I'd suggest a strap on muffler would be likely to damage this, and probably seriously rob it of it's perfprmance. If you must run a muffler on a 1.5cc duesel why don't you buy a TBR PAW.

The cylinder in Fora diesel are made of steel, no problem. The muffler will be mounted back the engine and have no chance to hit by the crash since muffler is not mounted on the engine side. And it will be silicone hose between pipe on strap and muffler.
The muffler can not rob the perfomance from a diesel engine since there are not backpressure as the glowplug engines do have the backpressure who are working best with tuned pipe. Also there are difference in properties between diesel engine and glowplug engine when we are talking about muffler and tuned pipe.

Status: offline 		That was my orignal concern. Deforming the liner as the engine is probably fairly light. I made a strap on muffler for my first MVVS 1.5D, but the casting was substantial. Chances are the venturi on the Fora is small and restricts performance. That was the case with the Cyclon 1.5 diesel.

Jens, are you sure the Fora uses a steel liner? From the photos on the website it sure looks like AAC design. Actually even the Pioneer is AAC.

I have a three PAW 1.5 TBR actually. PAW just don't do it for me. I like engines. Getting a new engine is part of the fun.

Out from the photo of the engine as it appears that the cylinder was made of steel and not much as aluminum.

Now it is clear that there is an AAC cylinder after I have read in the link you showed ..

I have a Fora Pioneer. It has considerable sub piston induction (SPI). This would limit its performance with a muffler. The 1.5cc motor is also likely to have SPI. Hence my comment. The 1.5cc is likely to be a higher rev'er than the 2.5cc, which was designed as a beginners racing/combat motor. The former is probably meant to run at high speed on those tiny GF props the Europeans use in combat. Possibly Fora's answer to the JAK 1.5cc combat motor.

Status: offline 		I've been pretty happy with my Juniors(what they were called before Pioneer)
drilled one venturi out with a #1 bit (6mm) and getting 16,900 on a 7x6
compared to 15,100 on the 3mm bore.
