Hi,

Has anyone successfully converted the FealFlight 4.5 Mode 2 controller Mode 1? If so, how is it done?

Here's a link to instructions on how to convert from Mode 1 to Mode 2. I suppose it would do the revers too.

Hi Michael,

I checked the link out and it is for RealFlight G2 and G3 controllers but not for G4.5.

I knew you could modify those controllers, but I'm not sure if you can modify the G4 or G4.5 controllers.

If anyone has successfully modified a G4 or G4.5 controller, would you please let me know how it is done?

If you search the RealFlight forums (where I found the link) there's some discussion about this. I think I read that it also works for the G4 controller, but I'm not sure.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the suggestion. I looked through the site's FAQ and Knowledge Base and could find nothing on modifying the controller from Mode 2 to Mode 1. However, the transmitter looks similar to the G2 transmitter and it may be able to be modified - hopefully somebody reading this will know if it can be done.

I've been using my M2 Realflight as M1 for some time now.

All i did was swap the throttle ratchet and return spring in the TX and then go into controller configuration to remap the channels to the correct control surface.

Pretty easy to do.

Hi CustomPC,

What version of RealFlight do you have? Do you have G4 or G4.5?

I have switched the tension and ratchet on G2, 3, and 3.5, and I know it can be done on those versions. However, I don't know if it can be done with G4 or 4.5. This is why I'm asking specifically if anyone has switched the sticks on G4 or 4.5, or if they know if it can be done.

I Have G4 which i upgraded to G4.5 via the free download.
