Hi All,

I am interested in RC boats using zenoah or similar gas (weedeater type) engines. Can anyone out there point me toward some companies that provide such a boat/engine outfit?

Thanks
Mike

Hello I'm building a 67" Catamaran very shortly and intend on using twin weedeater or chainsaw engines my grandmother sells Husqvarna, Shidawa and the sort but the problem is she lives quite a ways away so I've been looking at alternatives such as poulan and troybilt. I would really like to go with the Zenoahs or quickdraws but I don't have the coin for such an expensive motor like them I know they're worth it because the work is done for you already but for now I think weedeater engines are the way to go for now. So my quetion is which brand should I go with as a starter motor? I'm building the Cat from scratch I have the resources to do it since my dad builds boats for a living but I'm stuck on which brand of weedwacker engine to go with? Everything I've looked at so far is in the 25-30cc range and are reasonably priced which really attracts me to them. So your advice as to which brand is good would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!

TM928, I'm biulding a custom 75 inch deep vee, and I plan on running low cost twins in it. Picked up a pair of bolens 31 cc weed whackers, with a lil expeirmenting we realized that changing out the carbs to some that has adjustable high-lows and welding up a sufficient tune pipe we could make those babies scream. No water testing as of yet but will post pics as soon as I do..Low cost as of 69.99 a piece @ loews............GOOD LUCK, you don't always have to by the most expensive....
