Which one would you choose and why ? Pros/cons, experiences.

I'll be using the servo for buggy and truggy use, and the hitec is about 20 $ more expensive.

Thanks in advance :-)

Hitec NO DOUBT. You can get the 7955tg on ebay for $102 shipped, thats what I did and got it in a couple days.

The Hitec is 100x more reliable, and the custoemr service is second to none. With Ace servos, people swear by them, or swear AT them, mostly at them.

I have a hitec hs-5625mg that burned the "computer" inside the servo a few days ago. The car was standing still whilst doing it, and the servo isn't that old nor used. That's why I'm hesitating a bit on the hitec (:

+1 on Hitec. Ace is a crap shoot, you either get a servo you LOVE and will swear your life by or you get a lemon.

Hitec is very stringent on the quality controls and if you do get a bad Hitec, they will replace it. Read the Ace threads, and you will definitely see they are hit or miss where Hitec is almost always hit.

Hitec all day long.  Had a race-day on Sunday and crashed into a wall during a qualification run, loosening up my servo-saver.  Just kept running, and the Hitec 5955 kept going perfectly..  Was still a bit loose the rest of the day - servo-saver might even be toast - but the servo was spot-on all day long - including the 30-minute final..  One of the best, most reliable RC products you can get IMO.  Get the 7955 and never have to think about servos again..

ACE DS 1015. In my experience certain hitec servos develop slop fast, don't center very accuately (especially analogs), and basically don't last as long as they should. I swore a long time ago I wouldn't buy another standard sized servo from hitec (as opposed to their quarter scale servos, which are on another level).

I've had 7 DS1015s, ranging from the old orange label ones, which everyone will agree are probably the best sevos money can buy, to the black label ones, and even a blue one with team associated on it, people say the quality started to drop off with the black label ones and got worse with the associated branding. I don't know if I've been lucky, but every single one still works like the day it was new. And one of the black label ones is on the brakes of a 13kg 1/5th monster truck. I swear by them.

How does this "Replacement plan" work ? As I wrote my HS-5625MG stopped working a few days ago, and if possible it would be nice to get a new one, though I dont see Hitec stating anything upon the subject one their page.

I was considering getting some Aces a while back, read up on it - in several forums from various continents and in two languages, and there are just WAY too many people out there who have had fried Ace servos(people constantly searching for gear sets, etc..)  I haven't had an Ace, and based on all the bad stuff I've heard, I won't.  I've never even heard bad stuff about the cheaper Hitec servos, and definitely nothing like what you're talking about for the titanium 5955 and 7955.

I know there are some enthusiastic Ace fans out there, but there are just way too many people out there who've had problems for it to be unequivocal.  I really believe that with the 5955 and 7955, it is unequivocal.  You hear it all the time - "bullet-proof", etc..  And I've seen exactly that with two of them now..

I'm sure it will serve you fine, don't worry. Most hitec products are as good as people say they are.
