Status: offline 		just got through building the king cobra a couple of weeks ago and i had an old OS 61 long stroke that i put in it and it pulls the plane with ease, this plane flies like a pattern plane and performs a solid knife-edge. the plane turned out weighing about 8 1/2 lbs. painted and ready to fly. but i was surprised at how quick it takes off and how slow it will land .

Status: offline 		i used fixed gear because i fly off a grass field and i would highly recommand this kit to somebody who likes to build their own plane.

Status: offline 		I don't know that it's possible to appreciate just how good of a design that the King Kobra is until you've actually flown one. 

It's a fully aerobatic airframe that is very comfortable flying at high speeds and tracks like it's on rails, yet it exhibits no bad habits while flying at any speed and lands as easily and slowly as any basic low wing trainer.  It looks amazing on the ground or in the air, and the more you fly one the more you fall in love with it.

I had a sig kougar that I really liked alot, just recently sold it, those Sig kits are nice!

Building a Juno f-20 now.

Status: offline 		Thanks for sharing your nice looking King Cobra and the video was good too.  I have had one of these planes before about 20 years ago that I had a guy build for me that I ended up selling, but I built this one and I am not going to sell this one.  Thanks for sharing.

Have just started a King Kobra,figured it was time next for the big brutha! Hope to have an OS91fx pulling it around,have glued the skins to the cores and just finishing sheeting the tail,but can't wait till she starts to look like a real airframe. Love Sig Kits!

Nice Kougar, are those retracts or strut covers, whatever they are they do look good!

Status: offline 		Thanks Wildbill and Smoknrv4, they are Robart strut covers and really are worth fitting for the look, have the larger set ready for the KK when the time comes,we fly off short grass but the suface underneath is not that smooth and it really seems to bring most mech retracts unstuck at some stage,might be the first flight or the twentieth but I like to not have to worry about with fixed gear.So the KK will also be fixed(besides I am sure an OS91 will take care of a little wheel drag in flight hehe)  I have an Ultrasport 60 next on the build queue after the KK which I intend to put retracts in,not mech tho probably Robart 605HD pnuematics or some Aussie made pnuematics from Custom Retracts in Australia which look to be mighty tuff, but that will be a tail dragger and not a foam wing so I will brave it with that bird.

So whats the consesus with the pushrods for a KK? Solid or some sort of GoldNrod's? I used solid on the Kougar but might go with bracing inside the fuselage and some GoldNrod's for elev and rudder....

Status: offline 		I'd build a servo compartment in the tail, so you could have short pushrods for more positive control. and it helps balance it out too.
