The actual R1/R2 airfoil is a 65% M-6 airfoil (@ 26.5% scale for a R2, this works out to a max airfoil thickness of just over 1"). From the research I have done, this is considered a "stable" airfoil when used in the correct manner and flown correctly.

Status: offline 		i used the airfoil provided on the plans. Its still a toy airplane to me .I want it to look like the real deal when done and i dont think anyone will think its a cessna because I didnt use the original design.

Status: offline 		Back to building,  I finished the rudder this weekend and fitted it to the plane. not so easy.   all my fiberglass stuff came in also.  now it time to put the major parts together and have a plane!  the cowl is so big its not even funny.  I dont think they make a engine big enough to fill it. (radial)

Status: offline 		got some build time in this weekend.  Landing gear and tail wheel are on , rudder hinges done and I started fitting the elevator hinges. Hes a picture of the first assembly of this monster from yesterday.

Built largely according to plan, made flying wires functional though, to help with the loads on u/c. Covered airframe using epoxy/glass and solartex combination. Power is DLE 170.
