Status: offline 		Has anyone got a better way . It seems like the o-rings only last for a while before they start filling the boat with water . I would like to change the exaust but I dont want to cut holes in the boat > is there anything that you can replace the original pipe with that seals better ?

Status: offline 		I got the viton 211 and 212 o-ring size neither will fit . When I try to push on it slips out , any sugestions ?

Status: offline 		Sounds like the same problem a friend had with his BJ 55. The header and pipe weren't lined up good enough and it was eating the o-rings up. The ones on my Shockwave have been in for a year and have never leaked, and still look good. Best thing to do is un-bolt the header from the engine,  slide it in the pipe while the pipe is in place in the boat. Then try to bolt it to the engine with everything lined up. We had to elongate the holes in his header to get it to fit right, or you could try bending the header. Also make sure to rub the header and o-rings with dish washing detergent before you slide them together.

Status: offline 		I had this exact problem with my BJ55 which uses the same engine exhaust of I'm correct. The solution was a pipe stop from Warehouse Hobbies, or other suitable vendor. It keeps the pipe from moving around and leaking at the O-rings. See attached pictures.

I had to elongate the hole on the pipe stop to exhaust pipe band, (black piece) because the diameters don't match. It worked never the less.

I even had Proboat send me a different header to try to solve the problem, didn't help. My thought is the engine flexing while the exhaust tip is held solid in place is the route cause. If you think of your car the only hard mount on the exhaust is at the engine. The rest is suspened on flexible hangers so that the exhaust flexes with the engine/transmission package.

Get a steel dry pipe and throw that oring stuff away. American RC has a  special this month on them.

Status: offline 		the problem with using a steel one peice pipe/header is the amount of heat build up in the hull.both the shockwave and the blackjack have limited fresh air  coming in the hull.you would have to cut more vents or run without the hatch if you run a steel one peice pipe.just my thought on this problem.

Status: offline 		i switched out my header on my bj55 to a cc s/s header and no leak flange and added a hansen rpm pipe. fits perfect.
