I am purchasing a GSP Hellcat.. I was trying to decide which motor to put in it. The plane weighs 10lbs, 70" WS... It calls for a 90 2C, or a 120 4C. Can I fly this on the RCV 90? I was seeing if I could get away with it, or should I get the RCV120? I want to use a 3-blade prop. Didnt know if there would be enough ground clearance with the RCV120 with a bigger 3 blade prop?

Any suggestions?

An RCU staff has the RCV 90SP in his GSP Corsair, which has a larger wingspan, and the plane seems to fly fine with it. Read about it here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/reviews.php?s=&action=show_review&reviewid=68

If you look at the specs, they are both rated for the same props. I imagine the 120 will turn them a bit stronger. Also, the extra weight of the 120 may be needed in a warbird anyway.

I have the P47 71" WS with an Enya 120R GP C4 and it blows away the H9 P51 with OS90 C4. Also, you'll need the extra weight for it to balance. I didn't have to add any weight. Great flying plane and looks great.
