I think Dale has a point indead...because when i check the quality between a Rovan and a original product...you see little differences...when you take away these differences...you can't notice it anymore.

But i also think that the European market is paying the highest price for these products.
A Baja 5B for 925euro and a Baja 5T for 1150euro, when you are lucky..because most of the time the prices are higher.

And in China its not possible to sell for these prices.
So when you pay 400usd for a Baja 5B in China as a consumer its a nice price.

Another thing to consider about this RC, does it mount the CY engines like the HPI 5Bs and 5Ts?
For me personally, I will not settle for anything less than a Zenoah, but if I was forced to choose a lesser engine, I will take nothing less than a CY. Otherwise, I would look to buy an RC without an engine and put one in of my choice.

Don't speak too soon Jim, I've got a Smartech 23 here, that out-performs the CY 23. God knows what they've done to it, but it does bode well for the future of Smartech RTRs. Still not headkit compatible though (3 bolt head).

3Bolt head? Thats the first I've ever heard of that. Yeah, but I'd like the roller if I can get it. Unless I can take all the stuff I dont need and sell in on Fleebay. I have a spare ESP 27.2 sitting around that needs to go on something soon.

Defo, I would prefer a roller any day. Now, a stock CY 23cc? I can see another clone engine outperforming it. It is also very true in the nitro world. For example, STS, a very cheap engine, is cheaper than your mainstream nitro engine, and it make crazy power over many mainstream engines. But here is where it fails: it is horribly built and the cahnces of you getting a great powerhouse or a lemon is a crap shoot; nothing short of a luch of the draw.

Power or not, I would prefer a CY at the absolute minimum if I cannat get a Zen. And also, if I wanted too, I canget hopup parts for the Fuelie engine to make it a powerhouse too, probably more powerful than any other production engine on the market.

That is not to say that the lesser clone engines cannot have the same done to them, it is just my preferrence to stary with a good and proven engine and build from there. If I had such a lesser clone engine, I would do what serk\p[emt king does and sell it. Or if I need to save up, to pass the time, I would run it into the ground aso that by the time I can buy better, I will.

@ Hndaman1, your pictures are 100% correct

These cars are not delivered with a CY engine and i haven't seen any clone with a CY engine so far.
So if you are going to buy one its probable possible to take it without a engine and 2,4ghz transmitter.

The only thing i know is that KM doesn't have a 5T model on this moment.

Hi guys,

Wel it looks like the quality of the Rovan Terminator Kitt so far is terrible.

Sometimes no holes in the parts where its suposed to be.
Very simple manual but you can download the real version for the exact way to build it.
I saw a few double parts and some parts are missing...

Thats the update so far guys...if you ask me its not worth a 600us but more like 400us...and i have my thoughts on the KM1000 when it ever comes out on the market.

Well my friends bought a Rovan 5T kitt version and in my opinion its worth 450usd maxx

The 5B to 5T Conversion Kitt from Rovan is ok because the body is exactly the same as the original and twice as thick.

So how do you think the Rovan 5T RTR will be then? Worth the money or would the KM be better?

In that state I would say its less than worthless. No holes for screws where they are needed? Seriously?
