Hi I just bought your 24DC adapter, Etech 2 cell Lithium Poly battery and the Lithium Poly charger. When I plug the wall adapter to the charger the charger powers up with a green lite...and then my next step is to connect the etech 2 cell battery to the Lithium charger to the 1000mAh connector right? but the green lite never goes off and the red light never appears. what's going on? but when I plug the battery to a 100 or 200mAh it works...it turns red but I don't think it's charging that fast. is the Lithium poly charger defective? I'd like to add that the Etech battery has no charge and the red light doesnt lite up when I plug it into the 1000mAh clip. Pls let me know what's going on. thanks!

It sounds like you are plugging the battery onto the current setting pins. If you are, then stop immediately before you blow something up. There is only one output from the Wes-Tech charger, and that is on the wires labeled + and -. I don't know how Helihobby ships this charger, but these chargers generally don't come with a battery connector attached, because there are so many different types of connectors used. The pins labeled 100, 200, 450, 700, and 1000 should have a jumper for setting the desired current. It is also very important that you set the jumper labeled "No. of Cells" to the middle position for your 2 cell pack.

I ordered the e-tech batteries and after I ordered and was charged I was told they were out of stock. No offence to helihobby.com, they have been good on other stuff. So I waited about a week and finally got the Wes Tech charger and batteries, there where no ends on the charger so I used the stock battery ends and charger from the dragonfly(they sucked anyway). Well I kinda rushed it and didn't realized that the polarity to the battery was reversed. There was a quick flash and all lights went out on the charger. 1 millisecond and that charger was toast. I don't know if I should be happy that it did that or sad that I am out $50.00. well anyway I contacted hellihobby and em waiting for a reply. On the good side the batteries were charged enough for a good 10 minute flight. What a difference , it was like night and day. These lith-poly are really are great minus the fact that they can explode. I actually read a manual for 1 charger that stated you should charge the batteries on a non flammable surface and they gave an example of brick. WOW.

The voltage from the transformer(ac adapter) is probably to high for the charger to function properly(i had a simular problem). you can buy a diode at radio shack. Just about any diode rated for 1.5 amp or higher will do. Seperate a section of wire on the transformer, cut the wire(On my adapter it was the smooth wire not the ribbed one, yours may be different) and put the diode in line. If you hook it up backwards you will not get any power out the socket, if you hook it up correctly it should drop the voltage enough for the charger to function normally. your porblem may not be the same as mine but it does sound very simular
