What's your budget?  What size are you looking for?  You're talking about between $200 and $2000 so we need more information.

Just as a note: the higher end helis come as kits, you have to build it and add your own electronics.  If you're looking for an RTF then you're limiting your choices.

MY budget high end would be $ 2,000  everything rtf professionally  installed and tuned  preferably but best kit will do. Im looking for 500 or 600 size for there stability and ability to fly in high wind. I have been flying now for 9 years including my personaly built zaggi twin , typhoon3D and other small helis so Im fairly confident .

you have lots of choices for a 500 class.    trex500, atom 500, jr vibe 500e, msh protos, hirobo lepton ex..and many more i'm sure.   i have the trex500esp myself and its flys awesome.   it really comes down to what kind of electronics you want in it that really drives up the cost.

the list for 600 is just as long if not longer,  mikado, align, jr, compass, hirobo, thunder tiger, gaui, outrage.....

one thing for sure is this electric is what hot right now.

Thanks for the info thats my problem theres so many options and I dont know what to chose it looks like it coming down to rex 500 or 600. There seems to be more parts and support for them but which one actually  preforms better and also do they have the best tech in electric helicopters today . I dont want spend $1700 on something that will be out preformed the next week but I gess thats happens with every thing now days. I found some dealers on line that had 500 and 600  rtf combo packs do you think I should do that or just go down to hobby town and get them to hook me up with everything needed.   Thank you for trying to help I did not know if anyone would this is my fist membership to a forum and I didn't know how friendly people were to forum noobs .

First of all, even if it's a combo pack I doubt it's going to be RTF out of the box.  For a heli that size I would never trust anyone else to build it for me.

I'm sure you know these aren't toys but you're talking about a heli with 600mm rotors and the tips are travelling at over 70mph.

Get together with guys that know what they are doing and build and tune it yourself, it's the only way you'll learn.  If you always leave it to someone else you'll always be going back to them.

IF... IF you decide to buy one RTF do it at a local hobby shop, you never know what will happen to the heli in the mail.

I looked on helihobby and they don't have an RTF one, they have one that would be prebuilt but not set up correctly.  The rc expert one is not even prebuilt, just all the components you need.

Im sorry thats what I ment to say everything is there to make it ready to fly so I dont  have to spend two weeks of time tracking everything else down and then not even really know if I got the best electronics. Did you think the super combo pack was good.

Personally, I'd suggest building your own.

The best is always relative but here is what I'd build:

600 ESP
3 x JR 8717 cyclic servos
Futaba GY520 or Spartan ds760 w/ BLS 251
JR 9303 2.4ghz radio
Thunder Power TP610C Charger
6S batteries of your choice.

Keep in mind that good 6S lipo batteries cost over $200 each.  Good blades will cost over $75.

But helihobby seems to have better components in their packages than rc expert does.  Don't get the radio 9CHP in the rc expert combos, they are old tech.

Thank you guys that helps allot I know it can get expensive I have some electric trucks 4x4s that I built up that ran well over 1,000 for each and I researched all that too so I could avoid buying the junk. Do you know if the 600 is just as quick and responsive as the 500.                                               If you want to play you have to pay

I don't think the 600 is as nimble but it's also more stable which is a plus for a new pilot.

AN electric heli that uses 600mm blades is not going to perform as a "best" 3D Heli.

My recommendation for that size would be the Century Swify 620, their 650+ motor of 685KV, their HV85 speed control, using 2 x 5S packs for a 10S (37V) power package - this heli is a 3D monster.

Use a good radio (at least a Futaba10C 2.4Ghz) with 9252 servos and the GY520 gyro on a BLS251 brushless servo. Now you will have a mind popping heli combo.

You can probably get everything from Heli-World : here is a link to the heli/motor/ESC combo:

Not sure what you mean here since the Century Swift also swings 600 to 620mm blades....

If  you upgraded the motor, esc and battery on the trex you'd have the same performance as the century.  Also keep in mind that Align has WAY better parts support in north america than Century does.

IMHO, if you want the best and $$$ is no problem, buy an X-cell. I went in circles with with all the options and finally broke down and bought the following:

X-cell Furion 450 kit
2 X Century 320mm SYM EP Rotortech Blades
Futaba 7C FASST RX (already have TX)
Scorpion Commander 60A ESC
Scorpion 2221-6 4400Kv Motor
Futaba GY401 Gyro
3 X Futaba S3156MG Digital Servo's (cyclic)
Futaba S9257 Digital Servo (tail rotor)
Great Planes ElectriFly Triton EQ AC/DC Charger
Great Planes PolyCharge4 DC 4 Output LiPo Charger
4 X Great Planes ElectriFly Equinox LiPo Cell Balancer 1-5
Ofna Supreme Power Supply 12-15VDC 30 Amp
4 X Tenergy 11.1V 2200mAh 15C Li-Poly packs
Model Avionics SkyTach Optical Tachometer
Plus all the little extras like connectors, oils, grease, etc.

That will pretty much eat up a chunk of your $2K, especially if you need to buy a heli radio. Since I don't fly 3D, I backed off on some of the ESC, Motor, and Li-po options.
