I saw a video on YouTube where the guy had built an airboat out of a boogie board and was using a Ryobi gas engine to power it. I would like to build one. I have a Ryobi 30cc engine ready to convert. My question is what size boogie board should I use for this size engine?

Pretty much the biggest one you can The most common, and largest size I know of is 42" . If you buy brand new, non styrofoam board, it will run you 60+, unless you get a deal at a garage sale or e-bay.

Me and a couple of my buddies are getting ready to do the same thing.  We googled boogie board and found some foam ones with the slick bottom for around 35 bucks.  Sports Authority has some available on line that we are thinking of using.  Have you done any homework on how big to make fins and rudder, and the stand for the engine.  Would love to here your ideas on this.

No,
I haven't done any homework yet. I figured that once I got the board that I was going to use then I would start working out the rest of the details. I tried to get an idea from the video on YouTube, but it's not that clear (or is it just my vision?).
