I picked up this ~$85 camcorder from Wal Mart and attached it to the nose of my Model Tech Magic using the top half of a cheap mini-tripod. I glued a piece of 1/8" ply inside the fuselage to stregthen the mounting location.

This plane was always a bit tail heavy, so the extra 7 ounces on the nose actually makes it balance pretty well. It's a pretty aerobatic plane, so not the most stable video platform, but it's my only large electric.

I have a video uploading to YouTube as I type, and I will link it once it's done.

Here's the raw video from my first flight. The YouTube video is quite a bit blurrier than on my TV. I'll have to see if there is a better setting for uploading.

I know it's not the best flight, I really just wanted to get an idea of how well the setup would work. Next time I'll go to our club field where I have more room for long, level passes.
