Super Tigre has been well known and liked for their glow engines for many years. They have now released a brand new line of electric power systems designed to provide modelers with that same dependable quality at a very attractive price!

Not only is this new line of electric power products an excellent value, they come with a 100% quality guarantee that is backed by the full support and service that modelers have come to expect from Great Planes.

All the items are matched to work together and there is NO SOLDERING REQUIRED! The 3-cell Lithium Polymers packs come with a Great Planes ElectriFly compatible charge connector and a separate discharge connector that mates to the Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs).

The brushless outrunner motors come in three sizes that provide up to 370 watts which can fly up to a 4lb scale plane or trainer.

I'll be using the Super Tigre .10 motor, 30-amp ESC, and 3-cell 1800mAh LiPo pack in my 3lb Electric Trainer from Black Horse Models. This power system should provide about 350 watts, when using a 10x8 prop, which will provide strong aerobatic flight on the 4-channel trainer.

The Super Tigre .10 Electric Power System performed very well in my 3lb Electric Trainer from Black Horse Models. The trainer performed strong aerobatics and flew for 10 minutes. I haven't seen any issues with these new inexpensive products. The lower cost combined with the Super Tigre support, service, and guarantee from Great Planes is a fantastic value that will be hard to beat!

I have a Super Tigre 400 on my House of Balsa 1/2a Stealth Sport, and I'm very happy with it. It pulls the plane around very well.

I first flew this plane with an E-Flight Park 400, and I can't really tell any difference with performance. I wasn't very happy at all with the quality of the Park 400, so I'm looking forward to seeing how the Super Tigre holds up.

I saw these at a local hobby shop last week. The prices were tempting ($39.99 for a 3S 2100 Thunder TIGER pack vs. $59.99 for a Thunder POWER), but the 15C rating said "old technology" to me, so I had to pass.

If they're a true 15C, meaning you can draw 15C from start to finish, and have them perform like that for 100+ straight cycles, then they've got something. They need to market that somehow, though.

Most companies are advertising 20, 25, 30C packs these days. The buying public generally expects that when used at their maximum ratings, packs will have a limited lifespan, so common practice is to buy more C rating than you really need. Being rated at only 15C, the Thunder Tiger packs are at a marketing disadvantage. They may stand toe-to-toe with the Thunder Powers and Polyquests of the world in a plane, but they're still labeled 15C. It's like renaming Hefty trash bags "Wimpy." The bags are exactly the same as before, but they're at a distinct disadvantage to other brands on the market, simply due to the name.

I would be interested to see some data off a CBA on these.

How many amp is the 10 pulling? I bench ran mine today with a apc 10x7e. It pulled 29 on a fresh back and settled to 28.
