Thanks, do you know if Cox still makes the conquest? If not, are parts still available and which would you go with, the MVVS 15 or the conquest?

Thanks,
Bijan

The Conquest is still made, by Mecoa these days, however might not be in stock.

The MVVS 15's are probably the best bang for the buck. If you look hard, you might find the MVVS 15 as a rear intake, rear exhaust version. You will have to use some ingenuity to adapt a R/C carburettor to it. I used an Enya unit.

Another alternative is the Uctkam 2,5 which is sometimes marketed as the MDS 15 Pylon. An MVVS 15 carburetor fits perfectly. Incedentally, this engine is supplied with a matching pipe.

Do you have an event rule that limits you to a .15? If not, why not a Norvel Big Mig .25? Inexpensive, light and powerful, so the combat guys say. What is the plane?

If money is no object, there is the Novarossi. 1.20 H.P. and 33,000 rpm.

If you want a real good .15 rear exhaust motor, go with a NovaRossi motor, they have the highest RPM and HP ratings. These are great speed motors and love to be run lean and mean. You can also get a pipe from them or Macs, buit their pipes are tuned for their motor. These are definately better than a Cox motor who has the most unreliable motors out, their best motor is the .020 and it is useless. Get a NovaRossi and break it in and have it tuned right and it will run strong for many seasons. If you find a better motor than the NovaRossi then my whole brain will explode inside my head and the remains will ooze out of my nose, thats how confident i am with the speed and power of the NovaRossi motors.

Doesn't MVVS make a .15 rear exhaust that is pretty strong?

Hello,

Here is one other .15 engine, Blue Star 15 Combat.
It is distributed by Jamara, and they claim that it is very powerfull.

Does anyone already tried it and have any experience with it ?

Also, is it possible to run the Novarossi engines without tuned pipe or
silencer at all ?
I would like to use it on Graupner Race Rat model, but there is
little hard to install tuned pipe to that model.
The noise is no problem for me.
I removed the silencer from the OS 15 and it runs ok ( I also
noticed slightly more power increase).

Anyone tried this with Novarossi, especially with the FX 15 Aero ?

Does somebody have the experience with this Novarossi engine ?

Best regards,
Kristijan Kljucaric
