What's the best mini indoor electric heli? Something that is well built, motors don't burn up after 3 flights? RTR preferably. And is 4-channel or better? Money isn't an issue

you should go with the eflite mcx.  its a 4 channel, has lots of lhs support, inexpensive, and very stable= lots of indoor fun.

Thanks! It isn't brushless though...
So how much flight time can I expect on it per charge?

btw:  if you never flown before.... flying helis is not as easy as you think.  it takes practice, patience, and discipline.  this will be a good start since its easy to fly.  you should get a sim.  real flight 4.5 or phoenix is best.

So, it eFlight MCX easier to fly than, say Walkera 4#3B for a newbie?

Also, since on MCX motors aren't brushless, how many flights do they last before needing replacement?\

Thanks to everyone for their advice!

yes. the mcx is easier to fly than the walkera.  and here's why:   the mcx is a co-axial heli. meaning it has dual counter-rotating blades.  this makes the heli easy to fly.  when you let go of the sticks the mcx will hover easily.   the walkera is a single rotor heli.  single rotor heli's want to tip over and lay and the ground.    the smaller the single rotor heli is the harder they are to fly.    the mcx motor is brushed but since the heli is so lightweight it doesnt get abused and the motor lifespan is good.

mCX is the easiest. If you want a SRB that is easy get a Hirobo Quark. These 2 heli's make it easy and fun. You will have more time flying and less time re-building!

Yep top two mentioned in the mini series...

My MCX has lasted a year, parts are reasonable, and I doubt if you'll find one in its catagory better, coaxials are excellent for starters as the easiest to fly, then the fun begins, huge step to the Fixed Pitch or CP, unless you have enough to invest in the Hirobo SRB Quark, its increadibly stable for a FP...then patience it takes tons of practice, and plenty of simulator work ahead, take your time and enjoy...rest is up to you...<>...

MCX Coaxial, non better...<>..about $125
Hirobo SRB Quark FP, fantastic model, read the threads...all true..$325-$350
RTF Blade 400 CP...under $400 Ultimatehobbies

Thanks everyone for your advice! I bought Blade MCX and now have 10 flights on it already. It works great and indeed is very stable. I still managed to crash it about 15 times but nothing is broken so far.

I was initially considering Walkera 4#3B but glad I didn't go with it because I'd probably destroy it on my first flight
