i loved the film, the flight with the building in the background reminded me of flying on the airfield at my RAF station.

I did of course become diverted by the other real models on You Tube. The old stuff that flies without interference is what I call real flying, shame it takes so much effort to get them back. I guess that's why I considedered radio.

Now for the nasty crack, "I loved your flight when it made the SECOND landing".

hahaha "old git"... I knew sooner or later I would get a wise crack about that 2nd landing..... but hey, at least I didn't fly it around again and give you the perfect landing... (smile) This was my way of showing you how really recoverable this plane is. But thank for looking anyway....

Hi KH116,

You did a beautiful job restoring that plane! I purchased a 1941 Goldberg Comet Interceptor that was in rough shape, and like you I restored it and in the process converted it to electric flight. It also has the lifting stabilizer and it flies like a dream. You mentioned in one of your previous posts that you recently built a 96'' Lanzo Bomber. I've got a short kit for this same model and I plan on building it later on this year. And I'll likely power it with an electric motor too. What motor/battery/prop combo did you select for the Bomber, and how does she fly? Could you post a few pictures of the finished project? Thanks.

Hi there Juggler, here are some pics of my Lanzo Bomber.. it is not the 96", but is the 80" wingspan....

Very nice,KH116 ! I love to see old models getting a second chance. I still fly freeflight more than anything else. RN models available from Penn Valley Hobby have a whole mess of old timer models scaled down to 1/8A and 1/2A if you are interested in building more of these wonderful old aircraft without taking up too much room. I hope to post some pics of one of my designs next week(camera trouble). If you would like to see some incredibly beautiful old time designs, research Henry Cole-I think some of his plans are available as free downloads from The Plans Page.
I have a question for you; When flying a rudder and elevator plane like this, do you combine the channels on one stick or do you leave rudder on the left stick and elev. on the right?

Well 509Boatman55 when I build most of my 3 channel planes I never use the rudder on the left stick. Instead I combine them onto the right stick..... much easier!!!
