Status: offline 		I've been flying helis for a few years and started flying planes earlier this year, I want to fly an EDF model, I lost my T-28 with my aerial photography gear and everything in the ocean when I lost orientation yesterday. This is pretty sad as I had invested almost a thousand into it and only flew it a handful of times.

I've been looking at the E-flite f-15 eagle, I like the power sytem (would probably change to 480 motors on 4s), I like the large scale, and some aspects of the design, but they quality is really lacking in my opinion, is that regular styrafoam?!

I'd really like to hear some suggestions. Thanks.

Robert Wagoner is a great resource

From what I've seen most RTF's are not much good, requiring additional $ to get them to fly well.  I'd skip the experimentation process and start out with something that will fly well right from the start.

Status: offline 		So how about the 33" Bob-E-Cat with the MiniFan Pro (480),

And a Scorpion 2221-6 (4400 Kv) with a Hyperion 50a ESC, then I'll run a 3s 4000ma/h pack.

I've already got a 2221-6 and 50 ESC, I ran it in my T-rex 450. I'd like it to transfer it into the Bob-E-Cat.

Is this a viable plan?

Also, where do I get the 1/2a retracts and what's the build like? I can't seem to fin much info...

Status: offline 		I have used the MF480 with HET2W motors (kV=4600) on 3S lipos. Depending on the batteries the current draw will be right around 50 amps and 500+ watts. With a 4400 kV motor, the 50 amp ESC will be fine as long as it gets some cooling air

What's the build like, and how does it perform? Will it be capable of snap rolls, spins and knife edge or is that only possible with a puller prop?

Status: offline 		I flew my first EDF tonight. The bannana hobbies f-86. I bought without a radio for around 155 bucks. It flies very well. I am very impressed with the power. I gave it a moderate hand toss and then added a little elevator and it took off like a rocket. It flies more stable than my aerobird swift and glides in dead stick for a landing (just a little faster) like my aerobird3. Until I get used to its long roll out I will be keeping it in larger fields. It will roll like there is no tomarrow. I would recomend this plane for anyone that has some 4 ch time under there belts.
