You must be mistaken.. That could not possibly be THE commander, as he abstained from alcohol, even the commonly coveted Russian Vodka. He didn't want anything to dull his senses. He wanted to experience his pain of loss in all its agonizing glory! To further disprove your story, the thick skin of his KV tank could only possibly succumb to the 88mm shell of a Tiger..

This KV in your war footage was obviously another, already damaged, and commanded by someone who was asleep at the wheel...no rest for the weary!

I assume you must be referring to Veronica Ferres, not Monica. I could only find pics and info on a Veronica. Ferres sounds like a Spanish name.. maybe she just had a German mother. I can see a similiarity, but Veronica is about 16 years older than Marina. Veronica is closer to my age though.

A Ruski that abstains from Vodka, no way, it is liking finding out that King Kong was a poof!

Yep you are right about the name however here she is known as Monica, short for Veronica. She is getting on a bit but is still a top sort.

I believe the 75L48Kwk on a PIV is more than adequate to drill a KV1, the pzIII would have had problems tho that's for sure. It was a close range shot too. But if it is death by 88mm that you want, I will have a another dig about at the Bundesarchiv and see what else I can find.

Cheers

AL

Alan,

Normally the long barrel Panzer IV might be able to defeat KV armor, but spirit of dead Russische bride-to-be protect this tank! Marina's "force" may not be strong enough to counter deadly Tiger 88 though..

There are SOME Russische that don't do Vodka. Just as there are some Deutsche that don't do Bier, even in München. Although, speaking of München, I wouldn't mind meeting a nice München Bier Mädchen.. The ones that can carry three pitchers of bier in each hand, along with some pretzels! Ja, München Blonde Bier Mädchen. Maybe I defect from Russland to Deutschland für Blonde Bier Mädchen.. Give me Blonde Bier Mädchen and I drive Porsche Königstiger für Das Vaterland!

Don't let Kremlin know I said that! I will end up in Siberian Gulag.. This is just between me and you mein Deutscher freund!
