Hi guys
I’m in the process of finishing a 60 sized heli and want to get good stuff (servos, radio, etc) so I can use the equipment in other helis if I crash this one or if I get another one, I already have most of the servos, radio, engine, etc. but I’m wondering something about this gyro.

I’m planning to use a 6v battery because of the servos I’m using for the controls, but in the specs of the S9256 servo that comes with the Futaba GY611 Gyro, says that it only uses 4.8v.

The problem is that the servos I’ll use for the controls won’t have enough torque at that voltage, does the S9256 servo going to be damaged if I use 6v?
Thanks for any info.

Sergio

Just get a voltage step down, they're like $15. Plug it between the gyro and receiver and it drops the voltage to 5v.

Yep, what he said. Make sure you run it between the servo and the gyro and not between the gyro and the receiver.
