My Dad bought a Loaded Dice Pattern Model fitted with a Magnum 120 from this guy off ebay australia, what a waiste of money. for starters the fuselage was twisted and well over weight ,it looked like it was built by a 10 year old kid plus the engine that was claimed to be spot on was nearly seized up, all bearings were stuffed / the carby barrell was totally seized plus the engine had hardly any bounce compression. normally this is a great old patterm model but built in the wrong hands is not even good for the beginner into pattern. not happy as it was savings towards a good model.

That's what happens when you buy used stuff from ebay. If there's no garanties I don't even think about that, my opinion, of course.

this was no lemon either it was a brick, if it did fly it would be a real dog of a thing compared to a good Loaded Dice. Dad did get nearly all of my money back minus $50 , the guy seems to think thats for his troubles and he is a member of my club so he better watch his foot steps . also the funny thing about this is he also has claimed and mentioned to other club members that the engines bearings were spot on and nothing wrong with them, little does he know that dad spent a few hours on this engine trying to free up the seized bearings but as we know when bearings are pitted etc there time is up, maybe the oil made them feel better for him. so if you ever see this brick on ebay , stay away from it.

A well built Loaded Dice is a nice flying machine. I had one, and still have another that I never finished. There is a guy here in S.A that kits a version with fixed gear, re-named the "Desarlis". He makes a very nice fibre glass fueslarge with the firewall installed. It was designed for a Hanno 61, mine flew with a Webra 120 RE. Loved that model, for the price it could not be better. But any model can be built poorly I suppose, I would not be buying a built model off the "bay" sight unseen for this reason.
