Status: offline 		AWESOME Landing gear, kurrikan, and the reast of your Thunderbolt doesn't look too shabby either.
BUT, can you do anything to slow that tailwheel retract down a little? Looks like a mouse-trap going off. Here in the states, they sell these extremely light weight (1 gram) electronic devices that will slow a servo down (without sacrificing torque) for about $10 (+ shipping):

Status: offline 		Just make sure your inner doors stay open. The P-47 doors stayed open after the gear was lowered. The Mustang had the inners closing after extension.

Status: offline 		Hi corsair job.yes the tail gear goes out very fast,but at the video is just a test,wiht an air pump conected. When I conect the tail gear air lines to the air valve into the wing, it goes down more slow

Status: offline 		Flew the maiden! Wow, what a fine looking bird screaming low and fast, just how I'd hoped. The Thunder Tiger F-91S combined with a Master Airscrew 14 x 6 prop absolutely makes this plane rip! Half throttle is just perfect for scale flight and full throttle flybys are stunning. The sound is awesome.

The recommend high rate throws for the ailerons are a bit conservative which make rolls a little too slow. I'll increase them by an 1/8 to a 1/4".

The plane slows down really well and flaps would only be needed if I was flying on a shorter runway.

No video of today's flight, but I should have video of tomorrows.

I really like the way mine lands, and I'm using flaps every time just 'cause.

What mine still lacks tho: A PILOT! Noticed that good looking one in your's: is that a full body one? Whether it is or not: which one (manufacturer/ make) is it? Mine sure needs one.

Status: offline 		Well, finally got mine done. Did a temp fix on the tail wheel arm for the maiden at the Flying Tigers of Lakes city, Sc Fly-in. What a great Bird! Just a few clicks and hands off. The OS 91 pulled her with authority! Even with a shaky pilot behind the sticks she looked Great. Unfortuantely she was damaged in the pits from an out of control plane and grounded for the rest of the two day event. No problem, new wing will be on the way and she will fly again. Here are pics just prior to fly-in with just a few minor touches left to do. I would like to mention to those of you using the OS 91 that slimlines inverted pitts muffler works great and is only 40 bucks more then the 90 degree adapter needed for the stock exhaust. eally helps keep the scale look intacted better and sounds outstanding!

Thanks CJ.  I watched a guy land all day using flaps even though they weren't needed and I must admit it looked like fun!

The pilot is from Aces of Iron.  It's their 1/7th scale WW2 U.S. europe style.  It's just a torso.

Hey Corsair Jock...
if you look on page 2 - post #32 of this thread you can see my Ace of Iron pilot that I made into a full body...
it was pretty easy to do...it's not perfect but when he's in the plane he looks great..
just a little chopping, CA and canopy glue to fill the gaps.. then paint it all up

Ace's of Iron make such great pilots... I wish they did full body

I had to take a break from my P-47 to finish a small new jet .. and 3d park flyer and a few repairs...
I will be back on my P-47 by the end of the week

Mine's inside the cowl and mounted, but it's approx 5 inches. Of course you can cut it down, but it might be tough to enlarge...

Status: offline 		Thought I would add some pics showing the Slimline inverted pitts muffler on the OS 91 surpass I had mentioned earlier. Fits nicely in the cowl. 40 bucks more then the 90 degree adapter mentioned in the manual. and no muffler sticking out. SWEET! remote glow and dubro fuel dot in black. Very clean install.

Status: offline 		Very Nice kurrikan. The 120 will be some serious power to the thunderbolt. The 91 pulls her really nice. That 120 will be a monster. Thankyou very much again for the tail gear parts. I just got the new replacement wing from the individual who,s plane ran into mine in the pits. So im gonna break down and buy the century jet retracts you have and do the mod to the new wing. wish me luck. until then i repaired the other wing for now. Not as original but flight worthy. had to lose the guns. Thanks again kurrikan .

Status: offline 		HI ,my typhoon just flew 3 times. .The plane has 9 Kg it was very heavy ,i was need to add a lot of weigt in the nose 1,6 kg for the right C.G.

The crash reason: stall, at the final turn to landing cause a small airspeed

Status: online 		Sorry for your loss with the typhoon you would have been pretty peved off about only 3 flights of it!. Hopfully this p47 will be a good flyer for you. I have just put a h9p47 together and flew it last week," not a bad flyer " nothing flash that i have done, left the retracts in it as came with the model and put a rcv sp90 in it. Flew pretty scale like as these motors are not a power house as it runns out of steam on a large loop but looks good spinning a 4 blade prop. I did looked at one of these top flight 47s but have a few of these ( p47s) on the go at the present time . 68" span that i got from a importer that i have been putting together and adding scale mods to and lado retracts over the last year or so and it must be very close to the top flight model as i have brought a engine cowl and a few other parts from tower to dress it up with and the parts are almost the same in size/shape , but i always seem to have another more important project so that goes back in my store room. also a esm 47 and the large brother (top flight kit) of your plane so i have been following this thread and picking up ideas as we all do.
