The nipple on my pitts muffler is 1/8 inch out facing my firewall. Do I run the muffler exhaust line from the nipple back through the firewall and then back out of the firewall to my tank or what?

And also, do they have any L-shaped nipples to fit the pitts muffler?

I'd like to know.

Did a search on tower and found a couple 90 degree fittings. Not sure if they will work but worth a look: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0095P?FVSEARCH=pressure+fitting&search=Go

You could also run the line through your firewall to your tank.

Why would you have to run it through the firewall a second time??
If the nipple is facing the firewall from the engine side, Is your fuel tank located also with the engine?? It should only have to run from where it is, Through the firewall to the tanks pressure line.

Or am i misunderstanding what your explaining

I do see...
Yes you could run it the way you had said, Or you could try that 90deg.

The only other thing that i have personally done is relocate the pressure nipple completley.
Ive had the original fitting strip threads badly so i plugged the hole with Alumiweld drilled and retapped new threads. I used a red gel gaskit maker instead of the original gaskit, and ive had no problems with it at all.

Cant tell by the pic whether you have room on the top of the pitts to relocate there. You might be able to use JB weld to plug the hole im not sure on that ive never used the product.

I have had this problem before. I put a bolt in the old nipple hole and drilled a new hole at the bottom of the header, opposite of the engine. The metal is thick there and you can drill and tape without a problem.
