That is the most expensive looking HL tank I have seen on here. It looks like it is made entirely of metal and cost $3000! Like you could set an M80 firecracker on top of it, "light fuse and get away" (remember those instruction labels from your childhood? lol) and your tank would still remain intact after the explosion

Yes it looks very heavy. You have a good start on it.

Thanks YHR. And that was just the proper color base coat whit some Tamiya weathering kits. I havent even started on the mods. Gonna have to go with the Winterketten tracks for sure. Then we'll see if it needs suspention and gearbox upgrades. I cant beleive how hard this Airsodt gun shoots in the shorter barrel. All my other tanks are long barreled versions and don come close to the power this thing has. It is almost scary. LOL

Yes I agree the short BBl pack a real punch. I noticed the same thing with my PZ III. Try some silicone spray down the bbl. That alone will equal just about any other upgrade you do to these guns. I used to spend a lot of time making these shoot harder, and I found once it was all said and done the silicone spray had the single biggest impact!!!!.

I'll have too try that YHR. I decided to go full on winter camo on this PzIII I'm not sure if I should have just let it alone or not but I like it anyway.

Yep,

That is a fine bit of craftsmanship. Any other hints or tips on how you did it. Strange how all the tanks on here look so good but you can seem to tell who did it.

Great job!

Don

It really isn't that hard. An airbrush can make even a novice like me look good. LOL. All I did was some shading with Tamiya white with a little light grey mixed in, about 80/20 I would say. A little heavey in some spots and lighter in others. I suck at the paint chipping technique so I just use a soft lead pencil on places that would have wear or heavy contact. Then I just rub it lightly until I get the effect I'm looking for. Then I used some Tamiya earth paint for the mud and dirt effect.

Great Job Panther. Being new to tanks and even newer at painting, I am always looking for tips and ideas on how to do my Pershing. I am undecided on which German tank to get. I am thinking of this model vs the Tiger1. Looks like a simpler track design than the Tiger...anyway I really like what you have done. I am ordering som of the Tamia paint kits today.

The instructions (in the UK) in my day at least, were similar, but after "light fuse" the exhortation was "to retire immediately" despite my advanced years that's something I haven't managed to do even now.
