I've got a H-9 Funtana with the Saito 125. Though I'm not exactly a 3-D flyer, I really dig this combo. Pulls nice, lots of vertical, and makes good power for what I like to do. Maybe someone else with 3-D experience will chime in.
Cheers! BH

The Funtana is not very stable at all. They want to tip stall!! I'd go with an OMP profile. Very stable and great 3D trainer!!

I have the Aeroworks Yak and I am using a Saito 150. I tried the 125 first and it flew OK but not enough power for 3D. You would also have to add some weight up front if you use the Saito 125. I would recomend getting another 540 Seagull edge or try the 90 size Seagull Yak. I have both and they are great flying and are very affordable. Hope that helps.

thanks for the info not so keen on profiles. thought they had changed the wing design with the 100 so it doesnt tip stall much. im only using a 15x8 prop at the moment would a 16" prop be better for 3D ??

thanks

I've been flying my 100 X for quite a while and I've not experienced any tip stall problems with it. The only bad habit (if you want to call it that) I've seen with mine is that it floats a great deal. Especially in ground effect.
I use a 16 x 6 APC on mine. Some preferr a 16 x 4w.
Just my 2 cents. Cheers! BH

My 1.25 dose not like a APC16x6. Even on 30%. I have been using a MA Scimitar 16x6. Either way if you want a 3D only plane the 8" pitch prop is not the right way to go. IMHO.
BTW mine is on a OMP 67" Fusion. It's not as pretty as the Aeroworks, but it will out fly it.

Aeroworks has a 60-90 size Extra and Yak that would be a good choice and also take a look at the profiles from OMP they really fly great and next too foamy electrics they are the best way to learn 3D.
