Hey all,

Does anyone own one of these? They are available in red & yellow. What I wish to know is on these coaxials, how does the rear rotor get its power - or is it just sitting there and "swinging in the wind"

Any help would be great!

Peter
P.S. Here's a link to the red one - so you can see what I mean.

Tail rotor is only decorative, and usually spins freely in the current created by the co-ax blades. All torque correction is done by the co-ax blades, so no tail-rotor required. TJS

Hey - thanks for the help!

One more question. Do you know (or could you measure) the diameter of the inner shaft for me?

Thanks

Peter

I don't have one of these, but I've seen them somewhere for $139, I believe. I really like the looks of the yellow one.
I've ordered a red canopy and tail rotor, though. I'm going to try them on a HBFP. It there's enough pitch, I may be able to get the tail rotor working on a DD tail system. I doubt it would be very efficient, but it would look cool

Lama 400D is largest among Walkera coaxial , it is better to get larger size or baby size coaxial ?

For yellow color, I initially think that the swash plate is in plastic, you see, it is in dark color like normal plastic parts.

Finally confirm it is fully in metal~~ I like Yellow more, too many red walkera heli since 4#3B

both yellow and red is available now .

Hey people. I got a Walkera 400D, yellow but its actually orange. It is stable but flies like a cement block. Kinda slow and i did all the adjustments i could to make it go faster. I do like it and i recomend it if you dont mind a leisure flight around the yard. Take care..KSM1969

Hi, It does have a tiny tail rotor motor. It spins very very slow. It's only for looks.

Here is the motor.

I like it also and may get one. Can't go wrong for the price either for such a big helicopter.
How does it handle the wind and about how much (mph)?

Tom
