Very nice Bryan. Good luck and good flying with the model. A well designed bipe has definite advantages over monos in today's F3A schedules. I like the few features I see from the design point of view.

Curious, what prop are you using on the 170?

I believe Bryan is running the 19X11. He and I had a long talk about props last month and he really liked that one...and I totally agree,

Arch is right I am using the 19-11 APC
this is a great prop for mid range and braking However, after watching Brett Wickizer fly with a 20-10 APC I might change my Mind.

I will post pictures soon of the new "Oxai" Shark hopefully I will have it Friday Darn ,,,the day before I leave for the Nats

Oh Well gives me somthing to be happy about on the 14 hour drive Home LOL,,

Hi Torben
It will be made glow and Elec.
The electric version will have a removable top hatch but not a removable chin
the glow will have a removable chin,
One the features of this airplane is the sharp crisp snaps its capable of,,, up ,down, Knife,,,, the inc. arrangements are different from any Bipe currently produced.
it also flys in the wind very solid and stable.

hi Bryan
yes , i have same felling about my Euphoria, the best plane, to Handel the wind, i have had,

i had a liking fuel line ,and the lower wing is damaged. the foam is gone, and paint too from inside
so no more flying with that!!

If you don't mind working on props, try reworking a ZDZ 20x10 wood. The weight savings alone should motivate you. Thin the blades down to electric thickness and put a carbon sock over it. Stiffness and strength are amazing

Yes I decided to rename the Bipe after I painted and test flew it
and then, used that name on the Comp-Arf Mono instead .
The original name for the Mono was "Xiphos"But another company came out with a similar name and I didn`t want the Confusion between the two airplanes and MF.
"Shark" was obviously chosen for the fins on the bipe and the cool shape I used on the wings and stabs

Thanks for the Tip on the Prop Matt, sounds like a great Idea

Bryan,

It has pretty much stalled. Life's emergencies and all that. Don't get any flying anymore unfortunately. And now I am on the mend after both hands were surgically repaired

About all I have done this year is work on wood prop design and lamination. Have no clue when I will fly the new props either but maybe Dave and Dean will assist in proving them. We'll see. When I have some flying info to convey on the new props, I will post

Yes I know about the Name , I love the that Name,, and thought it was Unique
But ZN line Beat me to the X`s and the Manf. didn`t really like it LOL

Thank you Bryan. That's a big compliment from a real master craftsman and fine pilot.

Believe me when I say I am dying to get back into action at the highest level either as pilot and/or judge.

On the CL stunt, you may want to touch bases with Bobby Hunt. You may want to run the model opposite to the direction everyone else is flying. Bob and Dean have been playing with some interesting stuff over the past several months.

WOW . . know what you mean ! ! I last flew CL stunt when I was 13 (50 now

) . . and I have only vague memories of it. Would LOVE to give it a go again . . maybe with an Outrunner and LiPo's with a timer cut out (or similar) ???

A "pipe dream" at the moment . .

I want to thank a few Guys that helped me put My Bipe project together
First Dean Funk ,,,Master Graphics Guy and computer Geek LOL
HE was able to convert My hand drawing from Paper to computer,,, then did some 3-D rendering for me on the Wicked Wings I built
also the Fierce Foamy Bipe was a concept for proving My radical thinking on a few theorys
Dean built at least 3 different versions ,,so he and I could prove the an/diheadral wings and make sure that tiny rudder was going to be enough. he didn`t beleive me LOL
after Dean plotted the 3-d Files for me, for the wings and some 12" close to scale side profiles

Mark Hunt transfered them into a cad file and had them laser cut for me
and also cut some foam wings so I could make the Molds for the Proto. revrese built

Both these guys are first rate friends and Masters in their own designing and building
It was great to be able to work with them I hope they earn some repect for the Effort
they sure earned Mine
