Is the motor getting super hot? It sounds like it might be lean on the hsn (high Side needle) when you stab the throttle does it bog then die or does it try to rev really good then cut right out?

Good temps are anywhere from 190-250.

Low side needle needs adjustment. turn the LSN (small flat blade screw on side of carb at throttle linkage) in clockwise gently till it just hits the stop, (DO NOT TIGHTEN TOO MUCH YOU WILL DAMAGE THE NEEDLE AND SEAT!!!!!) Once you have it in turn the LSN counter clockwise out 1 full turn then 1/2 turn. That is a baseline that will get it going. while you are at it readjust you High Side Needle(where fuel line from tank hooks up to motor) same way except turn it out counter clockwise 2 full turns then 1/2 turn. Also make sure you have 1mm opening in the throttle bore(take air cleaner off and look down carb) Hope this helps ya

not sure on carbon fiber parts for the hurricane xp...I wouldnt suggest buying the aluim arms or anything like that though...I'd keep it mostly plastic...I know your thinking it will be less durable...but take it from someone with experience with the buggy...

I'd just hop up the engine and throw a pipe and good servos on it and have some fun
