A friend of mine picked up an "OLD" engine at a yard sale the other day and gave it to me,

It has a spark ignition and a champion spark in it. I'll try to post some pictures later (need batteries for camera)

looks about the size of a .60. On a plate on the side of engine it reads......... O.H.O
N.Y.
U.S.A
AERO
I was wondering if this looks/sounds familiar to anybody..thanks

I think if you look real close you will see that it is a GHQ.It was well known for not running well if at all. A .519 cu. in. displacement. If in real good condition W/ no parts missing tha price would be over a $100.00. One of the few engines that run clockwise. Have fun , MAX H.

That was what I was guessing and I found the pictures and posted the links to two GHQs.

Here are what a couple of the print ads looked like in 1937. Popular Science Magazine.

You were exactly right build light I changed glasses so I could read better and I saw the GHQ on the plate.
