Feather Cut foam cutter
Does someone have the instructions for the Feather Cut manual hot wire cutting system they could send me. I bought a used one and having problems setting up the pulley system to cut a tapered wing. Im either exit the trailing edge at different rate at the root and the tip or the other way around. Ive wasted alot of foam. Is there a formula ??? Let me know.

RE: Feather Cut foam cutter
Here you go. What I do is draw out the planform on a piece of paper and do several dry runs over the drawing. When you draw the planform (ie. 2d representation of the wing) make sure you use the total distance traveled. I use a string along the template edge and the straighten it out. Do this for the root and the tip and that will give you a good representation of the wing. Do a few trial runs to tweak the results and go at it.

Thanks Ppljr for the instructions. From a different forum a member gave me the following link to build one from hardware store items, http://www.rcsoaringdigest.com/pdfs/...SD-2008-11.pdf for anyone wanting to make one check it out.
Thanks everyone for the assistance
