I tried filling some cracks using 20 minute Finish-Cure and microballons filler. I mixed the Finish-Cure at 1 to 1 and added the Microbaloons to a creamy past. It never cured. Trying to sand and it was a rubbery goo. This was after over 1 hour then again at two hours and finally over night. No difference. The mess never cured where I could sand it. Now, the Finish-Cure may have been a little old as it had sat about 1 year in the shop but the interior pugs were replaced and the the caps screwed on tight. The Microballoons was just purchased for this project. I mixed the epoxy well before adding the microballoons. The last time I used the Epoxy was on fiber glass tape on wing center and there was no problem with it curing. What did I do wrong?

almost sounds like the 2 part finish epoxy wasn't thoroughly mixed before you added the micro-balloons.

yes i agree, how well it sets depends on how well you mix it.

Thought it was mixed well, but I'll try it again and make real sure it is well mixed before additng the microballlons. Thanks for comments.
