I decided to fix mine since nobody in our club wanted it for FREE. I had to buy a new cowl, wing tubes, and the rear stab and rudder assembly. About $60.00 to finish the plane out. The rear stab and rudder assembly won't be in until late this month. Nice flying plane but I'm just more into 3D now a days.

Sorry to say I smashed mine yesterday...this plane does not like a crosswind.  Took off and I was in a roll immediately...flipped on its back and slammed into the runway.  The airframe's toasted...pretty bummed.  This was my best flying airplane for sure...hope to get a new one soon.

Carlos,

The CA hinges are factory pre-glued. Yes the control surfaces are somewhat stiff but will free up the more you work them. I havn't had any issues with my Toledo Special other then the tail wheel breaking lose. Ship is currently going through a cleaining, pinstriping and permanent tail wheel fix phase.

I am considering adding the H9 floats as well. I noticed there is a second wire landing gear slot further back on the fuselage. Currently the covering hides it but is clearly visible. I assume this if for the Floats.
How is your rebuild coming

Hi All,

Here is an update of the rebuild. Sorry I'm a little slow but if I try and "Get-r Done" quick I ususally end up with more problems than I started with

As soon as I'm satisfied with the structure I will go ahead and recover it with Ultracoat.

Carlos G.

I just traded two helicopters for the Toledo. Got a buch of extra suff with it. It came with a AXI 4130-20 and a hookup with 2 14.8v batteries. I put a 13x8.5 prop on it and getting almost 1000watts. thats about 140watts per pound. Should I go to a larger prop or leave it..

Hi all,
Great thread, just wondering if anybody has any further updates/mods/tips etc for their TS's, really interested in purchasing one myself - electric version though.

I am on my third season with this plane (about 50+ flights) and love it. Until my electric gremlin came along it was my every time out plane. Flies great and looks awesome in the air.

I am flying it with a lightning 50 and 5s 5000 mah 25C lipo. I like to go fast so around 6 mins. I did keep it up at 1/2 power for like 9 mins just flying the pattern.

Thanks for info - I think thats one of the attributes of the TS you can rip up the sky or just fly scale like. I have some Overlander 4S3900 25C and a KMS 4120/05 out of another model looking for a job, which I hope will be OK.

Just a question about the TS take-off sequence - can the throttle just gradually be increased for take-off, or is some elevator also required to keep the tail on the strip until sufficient speed is built up.
