I have just got back into Helis after a long while. My Last heli in the 1980's, was a Schluter Champion (with a mechanical Gyro!!). I have a Robo 450 CCPM. I am struggling to set it up. It seems as though it is set up for 3D flying. The throttle stick moves the collective from about -10 degrees to +10 degrees. and the motor is at full throttle when the stick is right down and down to a lower speed in the middle.
I guess this is for inverted flight. How can I set it up so that I only get about -1 at low throttle and +5 or 6 at full throttle. I just need to practice hovering again after such a a long layoff. I have a Futaba 7c 2.4 radio. Is there any sites with some simple setup instructions?.
any asistance would be very welcome.

Thanks

What remote are you using? I am not familiar with the Robo setup but most computerized remotes have throttle and pitch curves to setup. There should be two modes. One for 3D, throttle up mode, and one for normal flight. Look at the remote instruction manual or let us know what model you have.

There is a Futaba 7c 2.4 radio review on this site I don't know if it will help. The Heli part is near the bottom of the review.

It's all in the transmitter ! Throttle curves and pitch curve, also servo end point or travel adjust for amount of swash.movement. start your pitch curve at 40 to start, and adjust from there. 40-55-70-85-100, something like that.
I have a Robo or pigeon m1 also, nice heli.
Also try setting your cyclic servo travel to 50-50-50 for starters.
