I was there on Friday and Saturday and had the time of my life once again. Thought I would share with anyone who cares the pictures I took on Saturday. This event is growing by leaps and bounds and the flying and aircraft that were there was something too see. Looking forward to next year.

M D, Thanks for the great photos! What a site!
Did the weather cause any issues (unlike Owatonna)?
Any jets attend?

Jim

It was a great event. Only a few pile ups. Considering the number of birds in the air, it was a very low problem rate. Totally first rate on everything. The F100 was SO impressive I thought. The canopy popped into the open position right after take off, and it looked like it really affected the plane was flying, and the pilot did a NICE job of saving the plane. Got it slowed down quickly and brought it right back in...where of course the canopy promptly snapped shut..speaking of a gremlin-chase ahead for it probably. The pic shows the nice landing with the nose wheel still up.

Great event! The weather was good until Sunday, 8-12 mph wind almost right down the runway. Great people, great food, great time!

I went on Friday w/ my dad and had a great time ! I got to go on the flightline, talk to some of the pilots, and look up close at some beautiful planes. I also had a good talk w/ Paul Letourneau ; but, of course I didn't know it at the time Its such a great event ! A must every year ! Does anybody know what went wrong w/ that Dauntless on Friday ? I caught a glimpse as it was just hitting the ground Beautiful bird, what a shame. Anyway, here are some pics, Enjoy !

Does anybody know what the large, white German aircraft was in the first picture of Post #2 ? I believe it was flown by Jeff Quesenberry.

The 2 Messerschmitt BF109s were flown by Rich Eggleston (BF109 G) and Chuck Hamilton (BF109 F). These are from blown up Dave Platt plans and modified to 84 inches. I am getting ready to start mine. They use Brisson 2.4s with Sierra retracts. Meister canopies, and custom made fiberglass parts, (cowl, oil cooler doors, supercharger intake)
