That is a JAE 12G3 hull. I see two obvious clues in Mike's picture above.
If anyone can tell me what those two are, I will send them a free 12G epoxy glass cowling...

Mike Walker is not eligible. He builds far too many of these...

Joe

HINT!
# 1 Could it have some thing to do with that thing hanging on the right sponson? maybe I just don't know

Man I'm not getting it, unless the tub and sponsons are narrower? It might just be the angle of the picture.

Mike ,
I'll send you a PM with my answers. But I have never built a gen 3 hull. Mine has the original tab on right the end. For the Solinger mount. Gen 1
I have done many gen 2

One answer is correct, one hinted at, but nobody has put them together.

All of the clues are in the pic posted by Mike.

Keep trying...

Joe, Could it be the front half of the sponson bottom is one piece not two piece at different angles and looks like rear Boom tube is lower going thru the hull or maybe the bulkhead tabs look smaller/thinner ???

We have a winner! I am going to give it to John.

The other clue is the right sponson has only two dowels for the turn fin, but it is not easy to tell this unless you know.

John, please send me an email at support@zippkits.com

Congratulations John!

What is your pipe length now ? You look long. Your pipe bracket will need to be moved. Looks like. Great job on the build. No water lines needed the .12 NR loves it hot. Glenn sells a airplane head with fins.

My pipes at 5 1/2 inches. I understand a long pipe will have more torque and a shorter pipe will have more top end. What will the effects be if I cut to much off

One of my buddy's run a longer pipe. fire her up and let her loose. Use snap ties on the coupler. you don't want to loose that pipe. If you like the way she runs ,good.

5-1/2 inches would put the maximum diameter just behind the blue coupler...
Measure from the glow plug, around the center of the header, to the max diameter.
7 inches is a good starting point. This will be about 3 inches shorter than you have it now, by the looks of it...

The .12 NR can be a pain in the butt to break in. Keep touching the head when started. Don't launch until the head warms up. When we launched Propcircles .18 , we went 1/8 lap to a 1/4 lap and so on many times. Finally after 1/2 a day messing. The engine finally loosened up and ran several good laps. What prop are you using?
