We had a member walk the cornfield, row by row and he came up empty. He did spot some kids on 4 wheelers running around the outside of the corn field, so we don't know if they found it. We are not sure who they are or where they belong, but we are still looking!

In Ken's absence, here are some of my photos. I think I shot more than Ken, 11,000 photos in 3 days! Of course, Ken was shooting both stills & video.

I think the "Money" shot is the B-25 dropping its load. Too bad it's not a squadron of them .

You gotta see that B25 in person its an amazing model. Those are awesome pics!

I am wondering if the videos are available? I want to see my nose landing where I used my spinner as a third wheel instead of the tail wheel...

I am working on them as fast as I can. I'm trying to get the complete write-up of the event finished as quickly as possible

Ken, I thought your hand had gotten gangrenous and fell off! That being what slowed you up. : ) Oh..it was a pleasure meeting you and chatting to the extent that we did. It was a wonderful event this year.

I have created a web repository and index for my model plane event photos and these include the 2007, 2008, and 2009 WOTR photos:

http://home.comcast.net/~photoheath1/photos/model_planes_index.html

A fair number of you asked for photos from this year's WOTR event, the older photos are game as well. 2008 was a bit of a challenge as the lighting was extremely varied and I didn't have the camera I have now but there are some nice shots there.

I am sure most of you know now that Model Airplane News did NOT publish any of the WOTR pictures in their actual magazine. There is a small spot at the beginning of the mag directing you to go online to see the coverage. I was quite disappointed, especially sicne they had a 5 page spread last year in the amg itself. Was also a tad miffed because they DID have Warbirds over Delaware in last months mag.

So...great to have RCU doing coverage that a lot of modelers and pilots will actually see here.

Brian and all,
I am just about finished with the coverage article for this event. I got absolutely slammed to the wall with "real world" work after I got back from WOTR. But I've been burning the midnight oil to try and get this finished. All I have left are some of the pictures to process and a few more videos to edit. I'll get it up just as soon as humanly possible. I do apologize for the delay

Ken
